Vatange & Lions Den
Studnets Sterling Bain, Jack Knudsen and Delaney Egert present for the Lions Den Sports Management team on Tues., May 28.
Over the course of the 2024 spring semester, Minnetonka High School students participating in the VANTAGE program developed new business models for Lions Den Sports Management. Over the course of two days, four groups of students shared their passion projects.
VANTAGE Minnetonka’s Advanced Professional Studies program provides high-school students the chance to experience real-world business and professional scenarios in a classroom setting. This year, Lions Den Management worked with the students on four areas of growth for the company.
On Tues. May 28th, the first two groups presented to CEO and founder, Japel Hook, and other Lions Den representatives.
The first group highlighted rebranding opportunities, as well as website updates for the companies pages.
“This was to show that your market can trust you,” Colin Mascolo, Vantage said when describing the updated website.

Group 2 delivered SWOT analyses of Lions Den and other companies throughout the Twin Cities-metro. Their detail and organization was clear and consistent through the presentation. This group went beyond the company analysis and recolored the Lions Den shield to become a clearer image.
Day two of the presentations, the next two groups focused on the future of the company. The first presentation highlighted locations and activities Lions Den sponsored could participate in during the 2026 Super Bowl in San Francisco, Calif. And the second group gave the company a new way to analyze new clients, on Wed. May 29th.
All groups presented thorough and comprehensive research during their time with the program. Although each presentation was different, each person showed their strengths and honored their weaknesses by holding their own during Q&A’s at the end of their allotted time.
“They are in high school, and if they were selling, I would buy their product,” Hook said after the presentations were over.
